Over 2,000 buyers and hundreds of designers participate in each Jacket Required show. With eye-catching collections from contemporary heroes, to envelope-pushing offers from up-and-comers, it’s a comprehensive mix of menswear, footwear, lifestyle products and selected womenswear.

Standing out from the crowd is what Jacket exhibitors’ collections do on the street, so standing out at the show is crucial.

Jacket Required has prepared five must-follow tips for event success. Put them into practice the SS20 edition and enjoy strong ROI at the show.

#1 Set your goals

Without clear objectives, any event experience falls flat. Ask yourself who you want to meet, which collections you want to promote, and why you want to exhibit. Clear, concise objectives make success measurable and achievable.

#2 Think social

Social media is tailor-made for promotion and live updates, so keep your digital presence strong before, during, and after the show. Posting eye-catching artwork, exclusive collection shots, and live event updates, significantly increases visitor and customer engagement. Put the effort in and reap the reward.

#3 Exploit the senses

Event stands blend all the senses into one promotional whole. At Jacket Required, product is king, and our pared-back aesthetic is designed to give your collections space to stand front and centre. It’s important to ensure your stand encourages tactile interaction from visitors. Let them touch, feel, and even smell, your clothing and it’ll stick in their minds during and after the event closes.

#4 Staff preparation is everything

No successful show stand was ever staffed by ill-informed, untrained staff. From salespeople to brand managers, ensure everyone on your stand knows the who, what, and why of your brand and offer to ensure potential customers are completely filled in.

#5 Keep in contact

Your time at Jacket Required doesn’t end after you’ve left the Old Truman Brewery. Send out social and email updates, share event photos, and boast about your event success. Keep the conversation flowing with stand visitors so you’re at the forefront of their minds long after the show closes.

Now you know how you can succeed at Jacket Required, it’s time to apply. Attended by the UK’s in-demand fashion buyers, 97% of which hold purchasing responsibility, Jacket Required makes the ideal UK market entry point for new designers and internationals, and is the optimal trade platform for existing brands. Exhibit with us this summer at the Old Truman Brewery on 24th and 25th July and join the Jacket Required collective.
