Brands to watch: tailoring

At Jacket Required, we appreciate creativity and craftsmanship above all else. With tailoring holding such an important place in the British fashion tradition, we thought we’d take a minute to introduce three of the brands exhibiting at Jacket Required 2019 who’ve really caught eye. Discover our favourite tailors of the season:

Founders Antonio and Mattia established A.B.C.L after discovering their shared passion and vision. With one foot in Tokyo and the other in Venice, A.B.C.L strive to stitch together the essence of two different cultures, whilst retaining the quality and integrity of their craft. Defined by a beautifully curated aesthetic, the combined forces of sartorial, rough and artisanal are the inspiration for each collection.

With a history dating back to 1964 and a claim as one of the first British menswear brands to fuse traditional Savile Row tailoring techniques with Carnaby Street flamboyance, it’s no wonder Gibson London is such a well-renowned brand. Citing the 60’s music and modernist scene as the muse for their brand, honesty, integrity and individuality coupled with a non-conformist approach defines Gibson London. Remaining true to their heritage, Gibson London still strive to craft garments of exceptional taste and individuality which are above all a pleasure to wear.

Tailored finesse meets technical craftsmanship with Danish brand SUIT. Resting on an ambition to create tailored yet flexible items, SUIT craft each item with detail in mind, taking inspiration from sports and outerwear and incorporating them into classic tailoring processes. Based in Copenhagen, a sense of urban modernity is as important as the traditional methods that inspire SUIT’s designs leading to collections that are as contemporary as they are classic.
