Jacket Required Show Round Up
Jacket Required AW19 has enjoyed a successful and exciting season once again – thank you so much to everyone who joined us. Over 1,800 attendees visited Jacket Required at the Old Truman Brewery this season and, with the busy, energetic atmosphere, you could definitely tell.
In case you missed it, our seminar programme kept sustainability at the forefront of everyone’s minds, with a panel from industry experts chaired by Caryn Franklin MBE, a look inside G Star Raw’s sustainable and ethical processes and two days’ worth of denim repair workshops by slow fashion pioneers, Blackhorse Lane Ateliers.
Here’s what some of our insiders had to say about this season at the show:
Exhibitor: Christopher King, Fjallraven
I think the atmosphere [at Jacket Required] is right. It’s the right kind of format that works… It allows the product to speak for itself and I think that’s really helpful. It doesn’t feel massively corporate and operationally that makes things easier. In terms of sales it makes things easier too.
Exhibitor: Rob Howes, Edwin
It’s been really busy. We’ve seen people that have perhaps come down for the week and have booked them in… so it’s good, it’s been really good.
Visitor: Paige Homan, ASOS
It’s great to see the big brand names [at Jacket Required], like K-Way and Hunter, who I think have a really cool, fashionable edge.
Visitor: Martina Vitali, 1n1 Fashion n Pizza
I am always looking to discover new brands and since I came last year, I know Jacket Required is a good place to do this, especially for menswear.
Visitor: Zun-Hui Tan, Label Online at Next
[The vibe at Jacket Required] is kind of that underground, urban cool. I think that this is where all the cool kids hang out.
Exhibitor: Joe Nowland, Hoozy
We came here with the intention of trying to get as many people looking at our brand and also as many retailers wanting to then pursue it and have meetings and along with that has come contacts… and I’ve been happy with [the result].
Exhibitor: Tony Wood, Element
People have time to come back and see us again [this season]. We wanted to showcase our featured products to get those key accounts and so far, it’s worked – we’ve had a lot of interest from retailers.
Come back and visit Jacket Required for the summer edition at the Old Truman Brewery, 24th & 25th July 2019.
