Spotted at Jacket Required… Phil James, &Sons
The AW20 edition of Jacket Required brought plenty of change with it, as we introduced a more curated floorplan and announced our big move to the Saatchi Gallery. But what did our exhibitors think? We had a quick chat with Phil James from &Sons to find out more about the brand as well as his thoughts on the show and our upcoming summer reboot.
Tell us who you are and a bit about your brand...
My name is Phil James from &Sons. We’re a British workwear brand. We take the aesthetic of workwear historically and make it into something more comfortable and wearable for today.
Tell us about the buyers you’ve met at Jacket Required this season...
We’ve met some really cool buyers here; varied ones as well, which is good. We’re looking very specifically for the right people to stock our products, and I think we’ve met some really good people so far, we’ve made some good contacts.
Did you open any accounts at the show?
Yes, we did on email, although we usually get much more business and emails after the event.
What did you think about the new layout this season?
Yeah, really good! I’ve been to Jacket Required the last two shows as well, and I think this season has felt more curated and I really like the fact that it’s felt more condensed as well. There were some really good brands to exhibit alongside this season and I liked that we were all in the same area.
What do you think about our upcoming move to the Saatchi Gallery?
It sounds great! I love the idea of a more curated approach and bringing that to the West End as well.
